still works great, but my Digital MSD tach on my window switch it reads a 100 RPMs less.

Great write up, does wiring of oil pressure and water temp gauges work the same way, or do I need to install the senders the gauges came with?

oil pressure and water gauges have their own senders that need to be installed. unless they are manual gauges which are totally differant

there all over ebay for under 50 bucks......matt where did you get that bracket..i looked on upr and i couldnt find it...

Bringing this one back up...

I just did this install on my 98 and the tach reads roughly double the actual RPM. I got in contact with Autometer, they told me to connect the green wire to pin 48 of the ECM. I thought this was the same signal as pin 8 of the white cluster connector but did it anyway and got the same results. Tach model is 3911:

Any ideas?

hey blue it sounds like ur tach is set up for a 4cyl motor look to see if the loop wires on the back are cut?

Nah, they're good. I'm sending it off to Autometer, they think it may be bad. I double and triple checked everything.
