Speedo Failing

SO my speedometer is not accurate sometimes now. It will creep up 5 to even 15 mph faster than what I am actually going. But if I smack it, it reads right. Anyone know what is causing this? and How easy it is to fix?

it's simple.
jack up the car.
pull the speed sensor off the Transmission
move the clip and pull out the gear.

5 minute procees if that. It will take longer to jack the car up if its lowered.

if you guys have 3:73 or 4:10 gears that could be the problem also if you swappped to a 23 tooth white gear. Mine stripped out in like 2 months.

if you keep haveing problems I suggest a speed cal. U can use it for stockgear ratios too.
