Help Asap


so i was just driving home from mall and i noticed something was definitly wrong with my car so i told my dad and he drove it and instantly knew somethin was wrong we open the hood and and smell coolant...he thinks its a bad intake gasket...anyone have any ideas...in the meantime im out of a car and he has no time to do it...

where is the coolant coming from? it could be a cracked intake. They are known to do that. Time for the PI intake swap.

yea idk its comming from behind it on pass side...i told me dad and for wat another 200 bucks that we should get pi intake

sounds like it could just be a bad hose. Check the hoses, but if not just do the PI swap.

u dont think its gasket...i mean he only looked at it for 5 mins he had to run...where can i get pi intake and hardware...ebay?? or should i just get it from ford coz i need it quick kinda

get it from ford racing. Go to a ford dealership that does Ford Racing. Get 02 GT intake gaskets and get some black RTV silicon, and the heater tube that goes underneth the intake and the new nipple. I have all the part numbers some place

it will take at least a day to get that stuff and expect to pay 300-350 bucks for a rush

and the RTV can be picked up at any parts store, but I used Toyota RTV which worked wonders!

It could be a gasket too, but you have to take the intake off anyway if it is.

i kno thats wat i was saying to him before he left that if it has to come off anyway there is no sense of putting the old one back on....thats a waste...he agreed but i have no money now...ughh lol

sweet thanks...i just talked to my dad i dont think hes intrested in doing swap now tho..he has no time...hes jsut changin gasket i think...who knows but i wrote down numbers and i'll make a trip to ford tomorrow there is one down the road from my hosue...thanks matt

well for 20 minutes extra work it is well worth it. And I doubt its a gasket. I havent ever seen a gasket go bad just the whole intake go bad.
