LM1's VS Flowmaster
I know this topic has been brought up about 500 thousand times but I just would like a few opinions.
A fellow MM member is selling both Flowmaster 40's and LM1's. I believe they are both just the mufflers. Which mufflers do you prefer? All my exhaust is currently stock, except for my cheap ass mufflers that I have on it right now. Which ones are louder? Flowmasters seem to make more of an annoying sound at 2000k, but I'm not sure about the 40's series. I have watched a few videos, and its hard for me to tell. With both of these mufflers, I'd probably have to take it to an exhaust shop right? They will need to be welded in? Thanks for the help guys. My car is mostly stock, with a few modifications. I want something that's pretty loud.

My friend has a V6 Firebird and it sounds pretty sweet, but thats an Fbody. Thanks for the help earlier today matt. I appreciate it.

i like the way lm1's sound on stock hpipe with the cats and if you want loud it will give you that.. flowmasters are everywhere! they will give you alittle louder of a sound but not much over stock

Yeah, thats what i heard, flow's aren't that much louder. So i guess its a debate of loudness versus quality.

Unless you like the sound the LM1. I know I do, lots of people don't. You should choose the sound over the loudness because you're the one who has to live with the car.

That's a good point. I'll be the one driving it everywhere, considering its my only vehicle now, and my parents don't like me driving their stuff.
Ill go listen to some more videos, and see what they sound like.

Alright thanks, I think im just gonna do the LM1's for now, with a stock mid pipe, and maybe later down the road ill get a x or h pipe.

I have a o/r x with flows that are dumped and love it. I dont think its loud but when you get on it, thats when i REALLY love it
