it's the best shifter on the market in many peoples eyes.

it will be a vast improvement over your stock shifter.

Nobody ever mentions Hurst in these threads (besides me). I have drove cars with the MGW, steeda, and had a Pro 5.0. IMO, the Hurst is by far the slickest shifter of them all. It doesn't have that "notchy" feeling that the other shifters exhibit.

You lost me on that one. I don't remember anybody ever asking me about it. Anyway, I think I got it from Ninosport, but it has been a while, and I am constantly ordering parts.

Get what you want, but most people on here are not even familiar with the Hurst.

You know what, I might just go with HURST now, but I'm not sure yet. Do you guys have any pics of the Hurst shifter and do you know how much it reduces your throw?

The pro 5.0 is the shortest shifter for sure, but you have to kick that fucker into gear.

It looks totally stock when it's installed (other than being shorter obviously). I don't know the exact ratios. Do you have any friends around that can let you drive their cars and try out different shifters?

I personally have the MGW and i love it. Its the only brand ive had so i cant comment on the others. But, like AC said, it is a little notchy but not anything that your really going to notice and be bothered by.
