what is the stock gear ratio on a 96 gt?

They are 2.73's. The 3.27's are stock in the 99-04's

look on the differential it has a tag i have 3.08 in my 98

no i have the stock rear. then on your bill of sale if it says hp rear axle then you have 3.27 that is on almost every mustang gt from 1996 to 1998

Its a limited slip differential

Yes it's limited slip, and they had different ratios. Mine came with 3.27's. Use this calculator to find out what you have.
