i was looking into kyb and from what I hear the gr-2's are no better for handling than OEM shocks. That's why I'm going with tokico hp's.

Are you going for cosmetic, drag, or track? Really makes a difference.

At least you're from Illinois too.

i just want my gt lowered about an inch to close the wheel gap. i was orig gonna just get lowering springs but now know its a good idea to get shocks and struts as well. this is my daily driver so would it be worth it to get the adjustables like Tokico illuminas or would the tokico hp's do the job?

also it says the tokico springs lower the car 1.25" all around, so i wouldnt need cc plates, right?

it sounds like you just want to lower your car, your not going to be doing any racing or anything. i dont know much about Vogtland springs but $380 is a good deal. either those or the hp will be fine to lower your car for normal driving. theres really not much need for adjustable shocks.
