Hey guys,
I bought a '97 GT a few months ago and I love it. It has some high miles, 131k. It runs great, but for one problem. When it is warmed up, after I come to a stop at a light or stop sign, when I take off, I can see some gray/white smoke from the tailpipes. This is the only time it smokes. The takeoff does not have to be quick. Just a normal 1st gear start. The longer I sit at the light, it seems the worse it gets. It never smokes when I start it and not under heavy acceleration at highway speeds. I am not losing any coolant, so leaking head gasket I think is out of the question. It does not overheat. I am running screamin' demon coil packs, livewires, and some 4-prong plugs (they were in it when I bought it). Oil is fresh and clean. I've run some injector cleaner through it. It has an off-road h-pipe with flows. Maybe it's just the high mileage, but I thought maybe you guys would have some ideas.

Yea seafoam works well. my buddy had an older 5.0 w/200K mi on it and it smoked up the entire neighborhood when he gave it gas, he ran some of that through there and it helped, but I'd put in some thicker viscocity oil after running seafoam thru it, like amsoil or some good quality brand, and hopefully that'll do the trick.
