few questions before buying

So Im looking at a 97 Mustang GT Convertible. Im not looking for a drag car, but I would like a car with some power when I hit the pedal. What does it take to get these cars into the low 13s or even high 12s. The other car im contemplating is a camaro, so help win me over

Welcome to the forums.

you will need a blower to see 12.9's in a non PI GT.

Thanks for the welcome. One of the first things I would be doing is the swap from NPI to PI. Im waiting to hear from the dealership on this car, hopefully its good. If it is im getting it, if not I continue my search. I really want a convertible though. But yeah, so say I did the PI swap, how far away would I be from my 13's

with a pi swap you should almost be there already.
a PI GT is a 14.1 second car.
when doing he pi swap from a non pi GT however it will raise your compression which is not the best for a blower.. good for nitrous though
