Coolant leak and HVAC Problems
Every damn day, there's something else broken on this car. Today, I was driving to school, had my defrost on to clear the windshield, and I turned it to vent after it was clear. Well, the switch turned but its still on the Defrost. All settings it stays on defrost except for the off setting. It did this once before, but fixed it self. Any ideas?
Also, I just drove it home, and noticed a puddle of coolant, looked under the hood, and it appears to becoming out of the side of the radiator. What do you recommend i can put in there to stop the leak? I'd prefer not to have to put in a new radiator. Thanks

I recommend a new radiator to stop the leak!
![]() Might be a bad A/C mode selector switch????? I think that may be vacuum operated. It might be a bad vacuum diaphragm????

I think defrost is the default if there is no vacuum signal. I would look for vacuum leaks. Mythbusters stopped a radiator leak by cracking an egg into it.
JK, haha, I would look for a radiator patch kit, JB weld it, or buy a bigger better radiator. |
