is there a easier way
i'm trying to take a oxygen sensor off on the passenger side upstream. My problem is that i have no clearance because the dam starter is in the way. I bought the special sensor tool, tried a "22" wrench but there is little space. Any suggestions?

That one sucks for sure. Make sure to disconnect the battery so you don't arc onto the starter. I'm pretty sure i just use a socket wrench with the slotted O2 socket thing. Dropping the H pipe is not too hard either.
Here is a pic from a 02 GT. Not sure if they changed much or not. |

i appreciate the advice, but i guess i'm gonna have to loosen the bolts on the starter and pull it forward a little. the 02 gt is very different from my 98 cobra. Thanks again
