Odometer Not Working? Please Help!

I just bought a 97 GT, but later I noticed the odometer or trip odometer dosen't work. I was told that there is a motor behind the dash. Just wondering if any of you guys have had this happen to you. If so how easy is it to fix. Any info would be great!! Thanks!

You need a new oneof these.

It's called a worm gear, they go out in SN95 mustangs all the time. It's normal, Try here there is one near the bottom.
