Hmmm, this would make a good article for the homepage... well for storing and for winter maintenance (watching for suggestions). I don't live in a cold weather area so I can't help much, I know what to do when storing a car for long periods of time, though most of that would be overkill I'd assume.

i dont know if your keepin it outside but if you are, dont put a car cover on it and let it get snow on it, i heard thats really bad for your paint. And also i live in illinois and i can get and specific type of insurance for like 5 bucks a year and that will cover anything as long as it is just sitting when/if anything happens to the car. <that was a just a suggestion...you know just in case...

i would not cancel the insurance alot of companies will charge more because you own the car and iddnt keep insurance on it at all times my mother found this out the hard way

as far as winter parking i would say go out and fire it up and let it run for a few minutes at least once a week and get fuel stabilizer to keep the gas in good shape or keep it on empty so the gas dont go bad from sitting that long depending on where your at if you have warmer days inbetween snows where you can wash it to help minimize the effects of all the bad shit in the air that sets on your car from the snow thats about all i can think of for right now if any of it helps good if not i tried
