I've heard that Fox body spec struts/shocks have more suspension travel than sn-95s. People on SN95Forums recomend fox body spec struts for our cars for that reason.

Nope, the people on SN95 forums recommended fox body struts for a 94-98 car only if it is lowered, usually 1.5" or more, because they have less travel.Fox struts/shocks are shorter.

Well, My new springs (factory GT) are here. The MM adjustable lower rear control arms are in as well.

While looking over the suspension this weekend, I noticed that Steeda had installed about 1" of spacers on top of their CC Plates to shorten the shocks (maybe a lowering thing???). I think if I delete those spacers my tokikos (sp) may be long enough.

Thanks for the offer 97, but shipping from Wyoming to miami would have killed me.

I found some new GT take offs on ebay, after reaading that the GT springs have just a tad more ride height than the cobra. Don't know for sure it was true or not, but I do have enough parts on had to start the job this weekend.

Are ya gonna run a truck tire on it for traction in the dirt?

Not sure yet. Will have to see how much fender clearance is available, then go from there.

Probably just an aggressive street tire.

No problem Jersey. I get that a lot with all my stuff.

It will be different, but not extreme. We won't be spooning on super swampers. But it will have some ground clearance and a suspension that articulates.

well i guess it should be pretty bad arse if its not going to be to terrably high and not have like mud tires. it should be kinda cool! race other cars on dirt or over speed bumps where they would have to slow down and be like lol

Got the back end done!

Took off the steeda lower control arms and springs today and installed fresh gt springs and Granatelli Motor Sports (GMCA7998WJ) adjustable lowers. The back is up two inches from where it was and the adjusters are set half way.

The good part is that the back end moves easily now and the ride quality for the rear is much nicer. Stayed with the tokiko (sp) shocks and left the steeda rear sway bar on, just reset it for the new ride height. Was a major pita to put the factory cobra rear sway bar back on with the new lcas by myself, but maybe both swaybars will make it seem less top heavy when I'm finshed.

All in all everything went together welll and moves much smoother. Wish I could say the same for me, as it kicked mah azz spending 4 hours under the cobra solo today.

Time to relax now...

I'm working on the pic thing, may take a couple of days to host them all.

Took the cobra for a 60 mile back road haul ass adventure yesterday and the rear end tracked great, I hit a dip in the road about 100 mph and the front slammed hard...very hard. Looks like the x pipe is about half the size it was. Both the magnaflow mufflerstook a direct frontal impact.

So, whats the best header x or h pipe combo for the 32 valve cobra motors.?

A few shots of the cobra

Fender height for the rear is 27 now, was less than 25 before the lca install.
