Power window Problem.

OK, this is going to sound very strange, but my power windows randomly stoped working today when i use the driver side control panel. the passenger side panel still works. SO i thought ok...maybe its a bad switch. But no, the windows will go up in down it i open the door and use the switch...so whats up with that?? Could it be that some wire is getting pinched or something when the door is closed?

sounds like a wire lost insulation and is contacting metal when your door is closed
