97 GT rear brake calipers, Help Please..

I was doing my rear brakes cause the pads were really bad.. Got the pads off, inspected the rotors, looked ok to put new pads on but having a problem compressing the caliper. Is there a trick to this or is it the same as any other caliper cause Ive done a thousand brake jobs but these are being very stubborn. Any advise is appreciated. Thanks.

yes.. it's a twist type caliper. your local parts store sells a special tool for it.. it's rather cheap. or you could use a pair of pliers

With tool?

Direction of twist to compress?

I've done it without the tool so it can be done as they said but with the tool and it is much easier.

Got it done today. Had to get the tool from autozone and it worked great. My major problem was one of the floating pins on the caliper bracket seized and made the inner pad wear out and scar the rotor. Took a torch to the bracket and the pin fell right out. Bought the pin kit, repacked with grease and worked like a champ. Thanks for your help guys.
