A good price would be anything under $1000. You will probably find most shops doing it for around $1500 though. Your best bet is to find a mechanic that needs money and wants to do some side work.

I did a little more searching on google and found some posts on other forums of people finding the labor from anywhere between $500 and $1000. I find the $500 a little hard to believe. I got it done for $400 but the guy is my wife's uncle. Have you called and asked for prices? My first post was based on when I was searching and calling around myself two years ago. Sorry if the numbers were off from what you find.

i wouldn't really do something like that though, unless u know the tec personally.

Everytime i've had some serious work done on my car, i had my good friend do it, and when something went wrong, he made it a point to figure out what it was, and fix it. U might not get that with a "random mechanic doing sidework."

Besides, I don't let anyone besides me, and my friend touch my car unless it's something stupid, and in an emergency.

You're right. I actually turned down this older guy who wanted to do it for me for free. Once I found out my wife's uncle (Ford senior master mechanic) was willing to do it I didn't care about the free offer anymore. But you are right. If you don't know the person can and will do a good job you shouldn't use that person.

good price would be free doing it yourself, however i know that its not always in yours or any1s best interest to do a headswap, so id say pricewise would be around 800 bucks.

ps- this isnt a major mod, your replacing stock components with stock components silly
