I like the 5.0... more of a potential power house than the 4.6

4.6 will make more power IMO if built correctly, but the pushrod motor will be cheaper no matter what.

dude get what every year you want just get the motor out of a 95 gt 5.0 ho more hp and torque than a stock gt 4.6 or 5.0 just by a little but u can put a voodoo cam that puts out .64/.62 lift but u have to flycut your pistons or get new ones and storke it out and bore it 30 over trust me my car is bored 60 over and get 30 lbs injectors and get a computer programmer don't spend $50 for every 2 years its easier to get a jet or a hypertech around $250 well thats if u want a badass car

Dollar for dollar a 4.6 (2v) will not compare to a 302 N/a. Making 500 bhp is not going to happen with a 2v without a power adder.

I will agree there is a coolness factor with the modulars over the pushrod. If you have the money anything can be fast. Right ?

Take the nitrous and the shifter and lowering springs out of the 4.6 car. and replace with stock parts. then put all that stuff on the 94-95 car!

I say keep the 4.6 dan. Although a 95 GT is calling my name for a nice mild 408...

Go with whatever you want. It seems like everyone and their best friend and 3 month old daughter can rebuild the motor with a blindfold.

A pushrod is cheaper to modify, but you've already got a great start if you have a full PI swap. It comes down to which car color do you like, are you going to have to pay to go down a year, and what car is in better shape?

Yea, it depends on how modded the five point oh is. Because your GT already has a good amount of mods on it. If it was stock for stock, i'd take the five point oh tho. And plus thats only one cam you gotta change
