I really believe their will be some accel improvements, but the cost and effort may be more dramatic with other bolt ons or mods gears

Honestly, I don't think the shifter is what's slowing you down. I think it'd be a great later mod, for when you've already done some work to the transmission, you're manual-shifting it EVERY time you race, and that manual shifting is actually allowing the car to go faster.

I think that the money you spend on that shifter will get you more performance elsewhere, like saving it towards getting the gears you want in your sig.

woah so that thing keeps the car auto, but allows you to be able to shift when you want?

No.

No more than you can with your current shifter.

To do what you're saying you'd need a manual valvebody.

Basically save your cash for real bolt-on mods. A short throw shifter is a great idea for a manual for many reasons and is a viable first modification as it helps shifting all around. Great shifting is the most important part in a manual transmission and its ability to go fast.

Your automatic is fastest in (D)rive without you messing with gears. Grab a great shifter only once you have modifications and hopefully PI swap, gears, intake, etc. Actually add power to the car first and worry about a fancy-pants brand shifter later.

Save up for the gears, fella. You'll like the way they feel.

wheel spacers o.o they make your wheels stick out another inch or so... definitely worth it if you're cheap like me and can't get new rims with wider tires in the back. the wheels sit too far in on the stock sn95 imo

Haha, way too far in. They look ridiculous and cheap.

If you're looking for spacers you may consider going into a forum about wheels and what not. Personally I say save your money and buy a wider rim.

However, if you're looking for spacers they can be found here: WHEEL SPACER, 5-LUG, 1.25" MUSTANG. Simply looking at the picture will quickly make sense of what they are. They space your wheel away from the hub to make them stick out of the wheel well further. It is generally seen as much more aesthetically pleasing when the wheel flushes with the quarter panel or sticks or ever so slightly.
