Turbo is more for roll racing and high Mph low et
IMO If you want a nice Streetable car that you can take to the track and run great consistant times i would do 3,73s-4.10s and a Twin Screw

well im set up with a vortech v-2 blower at 10psi running 500rwhp, pretty good set up minus the spotline springs. my vortech was a bout $4,500 but well worth it.

Turbo's make more efficient power. They turn better lap times if you can hook. The problem is you have to launch at near red line, and they make such nuts power, harnessing it is next to impossible. For this reason, most strip racers chooise either twin screw super chargers. Some people will go with the vortech/paxton types, but in my opinion, they just didn't want to spend the cash for something a little better. Its a different curve, the vortech's need RPM's to get moving, but the twin screws are limited to around 6500 rpm. They don't like spinning much above that too much, unless they are designed for it, and most non serious racing pieces are not. Its all really preference.
The most expensive is turbo, but it makes the most efficient power. The next most expensive and possibly the best bang for your buck is the twin screw. It has a great power curve and sounds like a monster. The Centri is really the cheapest choice, and makes least power. That isn't to say they can't. Vortech's have taken a fare number of mustangs to the 9's. Its just cheaper to buy an entry lvl Vortech or Paxton than a twin screw or turbo. |

turbo is cheapest if u know what your doing, kits have been done for under 1k. they are by far superior to superchargers in nearly every aspect if u know what your doing and set it up accordingly.
