oil and water gauges!!


well i just bought some auto meters and i dont know how to install them , can someone imput me ?

no...


just use the extra port on the oil sending unit part now.
see the allen head plug?




And tap a place for the water temp in the aluminum crossover.

you need a temp gauge sending unit. I have a few spares in the garage. And the oil pressure probably needs a sending unit too if it has 3 prongs.

no the oil came with tubing a couple compression ftngs, how do the sending units look?

then the oil is a mechanical gauge and u will have to run the tubing to the gauge and the oil pressure setup like in the pitures above.


And the long skinny thing in your pic you just sent me is the temp gauge sending unit. thats what you need to tap into the aluminum part of the crossover to get a good temp gauge reading.

what size tap and thread will i need and where would be the best place to drill, and what do i connect to it wire?

the wire will got to the back of the gauge. and the tap size is a 1/8-27 NPT. I tapped mine on the passenger side of my aluminum.

Good stuff there matt.
Mechanical gauges are by far the easiest to install. Just put the sending units where matt suggested and you will be fine.
