which rim size?? hey guys just curious what all you guys think. I am pretty set on black bullet with chrome lip deep dishes. But what i am not set on is the size. I was thinking either 18x9s in front and 18x10s in back , 17x9 in front and 17x10.5 in back , or 17x9 in front and 18x10 in back. Please let me know what you all think about sizes and rims ,Thanks again guys

yeah iv always had 18s on my car and a really like the way that 17x10.5 looks from the rear. Is the ride a lot better with 17s?

I agree, i have 18's and they look great but you wont be able to really notice 1" less. And the biggest part about it is that price difference in tires is substancial

I think 18x10 and 17x9 would be sick because no one has those staggered sized on thier stang. I was thinkin about doing that, but I'm low on funds and my 18" cobra Rs are fine for now.

Id say 17 by 9 up front and 17 by 10.5 in the rear, regardless those rear tires will be expensive.

Braking and acceleration performance will be better with the 17s, handling will be *slightly* better with 18s, but not enough to overcome the difference in accel/decel. Tires will be cheaper on 17s.
personally, I don't care for staggered wheel setups, I prefer to be able to rotate my tires to all 4 corners. But if you're running drag radials, that's not really an issue

Thanks for the input and would handling still be better with 18 even with a 10.5 inch back tire?

I should have clarified: by "handling", I meant mid-corner lateral traction. However if you look at handling in terms of times on an autocross course, the 17s will give you better overall times, as you can brake later into a corner, and accelerate better once you're out of it.
The wide rear tire should give you better rear grip, outside of rain/snow/ice.

yeah good to go bro thanks , hey im getting almost sure i will be getting the 17's but which ones do you think would look better the black with chrome lip bullits or all chrome bullets. I will be getting a two tone paint job soon with black on top and dark silver on bottom.
