Rear brake kits?


My 97 rear brakes are skweking and need replaced is there a kit or a good place to get slotted cross drilled rotors for it and a good set of pads cheap?

u should probaly just get cross drilled rotors in the front

most people only get bigger rear brakes and get drilled and/or slotted in the front...but hey man its your car so you do w/e ur heart pleases...its not going to hurt it anyway

Welli just wondered i have slotter cross drilled rotors all the way around on my 86 gt but havent got to drive it yet it is a project. I just need to do something on the rear it is driving me nuts.

Can you use the stock gt calipers on these?

i dont think so...they are an inch bigger than stock i think....

If i was going to get slotted rotors i'd put them up front, where most of your braking comes from, and get some other brakes for the rear, but they don't need to be slotted.

I am doing the rear brakes first they need to be replaced when i do the fron i will do slotted i just didn't really want to use autozone junk on it.

for the rear...just get new stock stuff...maybe upgrade the caliper...or even go ceramic pads....but for the front...i'd go with some slotted or drilled rotors with a nice 2 piston caliper...

do ceramic pads really offer any extra stopping power? I thought they were just better because you do not get brake dust from them?
