Motor Swap

Alright I have a 97 GT and I have been reading about the PI swap and everything but I want to do something different. Im really crazy about the Cobra 4V motors and I want to put one in my GT. My question is what will I need to do this swap or will the computer and other stuff that I have now handle it. I dont plan on doing forced induction or nitrous or anything just all motor and I want to be running about 350-400HP. Here's another thing, I dont necessarily have to get a Cobra 4V, I can go to the junkyard and pull a 4.6 4V out of a Lincoln Mark 8 will that work?? What mods do I have to do to it?? I know that the motor's basically a detuned Cobra motor (different cams) but that bitch screams (my grandma's got one and its no joke) Thanks for your input

Not a problem putting a 4v in place of the old NPI 2v. You will need the wiring harness and PCM from the 4v you get though. hahaha, my grand mas got one. hahaha. I love it. You can use the motor from a Mark, but you need the wiring harness and pcm. i would shoot for a 96-98 cobra engine insted. and it would take some serious engine work to make a 400hp N/A motor. Be easier to add some no2 or a s/c. Even low boost you can still make very decent hp. 400RWHP is perfectly fun on the streets.

Well I thought about what i said and realized the whole 400 hp thing would be a whole lot easier with a KB 2.2L sittin on top of the motor. If i find a motor in decent shape ill probably go with a procharger and run 6-8 PSI. Its another project. (Damn Im only 17 and have 3 projects) I dont plan on getting it done anytime soon, I just like to gather information about stuff, get the money, then BAM there it is!!!! I should post a video up here of me in my grannys Mark 8 im tellin you all she needs is full exhaust and a Procharger and she'd be kickin everyones ass HAHAHAHA
