93 Mark VII Engine

I just found a DOHC engine ($650) from a 93 Mark VII that I would like to put in my 96 GT Mustang. It's just the engine, no wiring harness or computer. I'm planning to rebuild it, replace the intake and cams to Cobra, and keep my stock exhaust. Could I do all this and keep the stock wiring harness and computer? I could probably adapt the wiring harness (I have experience with this from converting my 69 to EFI), but I'm not sure about custom tuning the computer using a tweecer.

Here's the big question: Is this engine worth the trouble of trying to put in my car. I'm not sure how many miles are on it, but it looks okay on initial inspection and comes with a warranty. I haven't bought it yet, but I figure I have a couple weeks before someone else snatches it up.

I was going to try to do the same thing. All that motor is is a detuned cobra (doesnt have cobra cams) youll need the wiring harness and the PCM from the car so get everything straight but it will work I'd say get it. If you do get it and get it in the car let me know cuz Im going to be doing the same thing

Yes, but it is of the utmost importance to have a tuner who knows both systems to get it done right-if not, it will be a disaster. I recommend eliminating the IMRC function on the cobra intake, as well. I have seen no torque differences from a properly tuned car with or without IMRC's.
