OverDrive button.. wtf?!


ok so whats the deal with the overdrive button, i press it and on my dash it says O/D Off.. why doesn't it start off and i have to press the button to turn it on.. wtf?

no i know what it does.. but im just saying why does it start off on when i turn the car on.. and have to turn it off every time..

to save gas man. it lowers the rpm's....well thats b/c its another gear.

if you have an auto you dont really need to turn it off to race. the computer wont put it in od when you are at full throttle...unless your going like 150 or something

The shop that dynos mine locks it into third gear to do the pulls but the computer still tries to shift into overdrive at 127 mph so he has to do somthing to get around that (I not sure what).
