NPI or PI motor?

Ok so easy question for you all... which do u think would be the best way to go with my 98 GT... go ahead and do a PI motor swap or jus swap the PI Intake, cams and such into my NPI motor? if u think the PI motor swap are there any big issues when it comes to the swap and do u think my local ford dealership might do the swap for me? I would really like to achieve at least 300 hp with my mustang... the bolt ons i would include for now would be bbk Long tube headers and O/R x pipe with CIA and 75mm TB and 3.73 gears. OH and BTW does anyone know of a good mustang tuner shop around the Kansas City area? thankx, john.

to acheive 300 rwhp on a non-pi 2v car will be tough with just the average bolt-ons, all though it is very possible with the right stuff. it would be a lot more efficient from idle to redline with a pi set-up. i am close to that mark with what i have and almost every power bolt-on external is done. the dealership will more than likely only do a stock motor swap.

long tube headers and a x pipe on a mustang would produce around 25 or so more horses and on the pi motors even more is possable

if you are going to add a power adder like a supercharger sometime, get the PI motor. if you do the PI head swap, it will raise your compression. if you arnt going to put a superchatger on, go for the PI heads and intake. there wont be any probs with putting in the Pi motor. you will have to tap ito the intake for your 2nd temp sensor either way.

If you are going to be adding a supercharger on the stock bottom end then DO NOT DO THE PI...It raises your compression ratio...

You can have you stock heads ported and polished to outflow the PI heads and get yourself a set of cams and go at it...You wnat low compression ratios for supercharged engine...

A NPI with ported and polished NPI heads and a nice cam can see 300rwhp with botl-ons pretty easily...

The killer of the NPI's is that the heads dont flow worth a $hit...You fix that and you are all good...

Now if you plan on staying Naturally Aspirated or Nitrous then do the PI swap...
