Mod Ideas/Suggestions

Hello all, I am very glad to have found what seems a great crew of fellow folks who love their Mustangs! I have to admit though I have had my Mustang for quite awhile now and the only modding I have done to it are the Cobra wheels I got for it. (which look very nice BTW)

I am wondering what kind of suggestions you guys recommend? (besides external) I am planning on doing a few external things but I really am needing some suggestions as far as internal goes. The engine itself is a stock 4.6L V8, just like it came when I got it. What kind of suggestions or things have you folks done to your engines that seem pretty standard upgrades or highly advised upgrades?

I do want my Stang's MPG to stay decent, are there anythings I can do to make it even better? I keep my Stang in pretty good shape as far as maintenance goes and what not (Oil, filters, etc.) but I am really wanting to boost the engine a little more than what it already is.

I am so thankful for your guys time, please give me some patience as I am very new to the car scene! I hope to hear form you guys, also I hope this is a good section to post this thread in, thanks!

External Ideas:

New Rear Bumper
New Head/Fog Lights
New Cobra Hood (possibility)
New Windows (Darker Tint)
New Interior Upgrades (Dash Gauges, Seat Covers, Floor Mats etc)

I gotta set of cams for ya man. Comp 270XE-AH. That PI Swap will bump your compression up to about 10.5:1 compression so FI is not too smart of an idea. So If you want FI stay nPI. or you can build a nice little cammin two vavle. here's what I would do, and this took me about two years to do due to financial reasons. CAI (JLT FTMFW), Shifter, Gears, Exhaust, PI swap, Screamin Demon wires and coil packs, clutch, aluminum driveshaft, aluminum flywheel. You should have youself a solid low 13 second or better car

it all depends on how much you want to spend. a good money to hp ratio would be pi cams and intake. If you have the money for a full swap def do that. But as 68 said if you plan on getting some boost involved its better to keep the compression down and keep it npi. maybe port and polish the npi heads tho. good luck with all your mods.

I'm looking to get 400 out of the cams, they only have 500 miles on them and come with gears and everything. They are 620 before shipping from comp

go with a mid pipe of your choice x or h, and axle backs of your choice, you need a nice sound, then I'd grab some screamin demon coil packs, and some 4.10 gears.

If for now all I add is the JLT CoolAir Intake will that fair out well with the rest of my engine still being stock parts? I don't have the money for a PI swap at the moment, also my transmission is an Automatic 4 speed, so that's frustrating but that's what I got.

I may also consider some new exhaust pipes here in the future, mostly for sound and looks though. I don't think it ups the performance too much...correct?

Is there anything I should get in addition to the JLT CIA? (besides the other parts I mentioned not being able to afford)

What exactly are the advantages of adding the tune in there?

Sorry to bring this back up but here is what my plans currently look like for the engine:

-JLT CAI(over the BBK)
-Accufab 70mm Throttle Body and Plenum Combo

Is there anything else recommended for these 3 upgrades? A spacer?

Also what is the difference between the JLT Ram intake and the Cold intake? What is the advantage of having the hose go through the wall as compared to having the air filter in the normal place? Thanks again for all of yalls help.
