yeah but most of those intakes are not gonna do anything for a reg engine. they will help out guys like me and green hornet who can rev to 7000 rpms and are boosted, but the n/a guys are gonna need to have some big time heads and cams to amke any of those intake worth while

I agree the T. Flow intake is sick, but i would have to sacfefice my bbk throtle body 70mm. and trick flow plenum since its not compatable with the T. Flow intake. Also I think there may be hood clearance issues too.
My intake is crackes so am in need of one asap. My car is not a daily driver so searching for the best combo is a must since I dont want to spend the dollars twice. I am also aware of the cfm flow of heads between pi and non pi, its in one of "Sean Hyland" how to build max hp for mod motors. These are some of the numbers 2 VALVE HEADS INTAKE FLOW 96-98gt power inmpoved >.050"lift 25 cfm 25 >.350" 125 149 >.600 166 160 note that none pi actualy outflows pi @.600" HERE IS THE EXHAUST FLOW 96-98 P.I >.050 22 24 >.350 112 116 >.600 117 138 pi exhaust out flows non pi with out a doubt. Is it worth the dollars for the swap and a 10 to 1 comp. ? My long term goal is a 4valve with a power adder, turbo or blower. my car is a 96 gt with 70 000 miles on it. The bolt ons are: bbk cold air, bbk70 mm thorle body, trick flow plenum, march pulleys, steeda timing adjuster, fuel pressure regulator, urethene m. mounts, king cobra clutch, steeda triax, aluminum driveshaft, 3:73 , Ford Racing shory headers, Bassani off road x pipe, American Thunder Cat back (very loud) oh yah i forgot , damn pot (lol)l it also has maximum motor sport full length frame ties, hpm performance adjustable upper and lower control arms and a set of chrome 18" deep dish bullit wheels. car is black by the way. My plan is a pi intake kit from livernois, tune and 100 shot of Zex wet nitrus kit simmilar to the one in the Red Headed Step Child for those who may be femiliar with the FF Muscle Mustang mag. Then hopefully the Drag strip for some fun. Open to any replies or opinions . What do you guys think? Any idea with the hp numbers, I dont want to tear into the roataing assembly since the car dont have too much ks and a 4v set up is a longer term goal after the 2v goes bye bye. |
