X-Pipe Legal?


i live in texas do i need a pipe with cats in it? whats the off road? i mean will it pass emission tests? i was thinkin of goin with bbk headers if i dont have to get the cats. cux w/ cats its alot more lemme know what u all think thx

not having cats is illegal in all 50 states. but if you dont have emissions testing in your state you can usually get away with it.not having cats you cant pass emmissions testing

If you have emmision laws where you live then you cant use an off-road pipe unless you have a catted one to switch in for emmisions testing...

I live in Texas also, and as long as you aren't in a large city they won't do emissions testing. Since you do live in a big city, go out into the country to a little town and get it inspected.

u know u can buy xpipes with high flow cats. they are much better than stock ones but some states require you to have the stock cats. sucks huh. u can always install it and find some way to install the cats when u need them hehehe. but truthfully i would just goi the legal way. it shouldnt be to much diffrence with cats than without

or you could just get one with cats to be legal and then get some cutouts for when you go to the track

I just bought an x-pipe that clamps onto the exhaust. If I ever got an emissions test, all I have to do is put on the stock pipe again.
