What about this?

I was looking thru the jegs catalog today and came across Granatelli Tubular Front End Conversion Kits - JEGS. Is it a good deal? do is Granatelli a good brand? Is there anything else I would need to put this on my car? Even tho its a coilover conversion, can I still use a McPherson Strut set-up? I would like to be able to use the Air-ride's Ford Mustang 93-04 -Street Challenge Kit-: Air Ride Technologies - Ridetech.com some time down the road. Thanx

Most Mustang guys that are serious about suspension stuff wouldn't touch Granatelli stuff with a 10-foot pole. Generally, it's said that they just make low-quality copies of other people's legitimately engineered parts.

Yeah, *usually* you get what you pay for, but it's worth asking.

Personally, I'll likely be going with Maximum Motorsports. That's a lot more money, though.

nothing wrong with gms product. i run them and have no issues at all. i have only had one item that came up with an issue, gms stood behind it 100% and fixed it. i personally have ran their products for a long while now, i have no regrets or complaints. i am thinking of selling my qa1 for the gms set up. most idiots on here just dont get it, does everyone on this board think every company make their own products??? gms makes products for other companies. gms supplies products for other companies that use their own label, most guys have their products and dont even know it.

each person will have their own opinion on every product, thats fully respectable. i have worked on a lot of cars, built a lot of cars, etc. i wont use something that i wont trust on my own car. depening on what exactly you want to do on your car can affect what kind of parts you need to purchase. i will have to do some research to see if there will be any issues with the air ride set up on it, i havent heard or seen anyone run a set up like that before.

Rather then repeat what has been said a billion times, let me just say this. Granatelli designed and offered the first Fox chassis K-member in 1990 before 80% of all the other companies mentioned were in business. Along the way we have made many design changes and improvements. We have design and private branded suspension for 1979-2008 Mustangs and 1982-2002 Camaro/Firebirds for just about every major player out there. Our quality never came into question for 12 or 15 years and everyone had nothing but great things to say. We have shipped over 30,000 sets of upper and lower control arms; sold under 7 different name brands (based on private label) the only won that ever gets bashed is GMS thanks to a few guys that have hunted us down on multiple websites – but it always the same core group of 6 or 7 guys. The strange thing is when customers are happy they rarely report back. That is just human nature. Do a search on any product and you will find a happy customer and an un happy customer - Such is life….

Our product has a customer satisfaction promise so that should always put to rest the worry that if it does not work you may be stuck – not with our product. Our parts will not work with the air ride struts though so if you plan to go that route we can’t help you. However you said you wanted adjustability for height. Our coil overs allow for a 2.25 drop or a 1” lift from stock. As for the latest BS about off shore copying, I think it is safe to say GMS has been copied as much or more as any other product out there.

I love how a few guys claim that because we offer the parts at killer prices it must not be a good part. That is ridiculous. That is like saying the higher the price of a car the faster it will be or the better the quality. – NOT TRUE

well my other option is the maximium motorsports front. it comes with everything ur kit offers plus:

MM Aluminum Steering Rack Bushings
MM Caster/Camber plates
MM Adjustable Tie-Rod Ends
MM 2-Point K-Member Brace
Urethane front swaybar bushings
Swaybar end links (shorter)
MM Front Swaybar Relocation Kit

how vital are those extra parts?

Alum off set rack bushings and a 2 removable 2 point lower support brace for the K-member at no extra charge

i love it when the company or a rep. can get on a forum and set the record straight and give potential customers the confidence to buy their product. and also give other companies and products the respect they deserve while still promoting their product. GMS you have just earned a lot of respect from me. well played.
