Yeah, that looks awesome, just that look is almost worth it to change to cobras.

If you want to do it strictly for the performance upgrade, you can get your rotors( if you want slotted or drilled) and braided lines on the web and get your calipers from your local parts store. They are the same remaned ones you're getting from these places that sell "kits",and the calipers they are selling you are in fact remanned they're just painted nice.Just order your Cobra calipers from advance or AZ or something WITH brackets(and then take back your GT calipers in the box for the cores, they will NEVER know the difference) and if you want them to a certain color, duplicolor sells a kit for painting calipers that has ceramic paint in it.The stuff looks nice if you prep and paint your calipers RIGHT and do it before you put them on the car.I used this stuff on my convertible after I saw the red calipers I BOUGHT for the rear of my coupe were just stock painted calipers that I payed WAY too much for, especially seeing as the V6,GT and Cobra cars all use the same rear calipers.

That is for the rear tho. Is it the same case for the front. Do I just need a new braket to fit the bigger rotors up front? If that is the only difference. That sucks. It may be a night and day difference, but cummon. If i'm going to be paying much more than what it cost to get stock stuff, I'm going to buy something that has been re-engineered.

Braided lines are like $50.
Get new rotors for $190
New Bracket $?? (I have no idea)
Paint for rotors $30

Cobra brakes for less than $300. That is all assuming you are right about that being the only difference. Something to think about.

actually im still in my brake in stage so i cant tell you much about it but from what i can feel, the pedal has absolutelty no play and the rotors make a cool whistling sound when braking with the windows down!!! lol the calipers are pre painted with the chrome cobra in the center. all i know is stock gt brakes will definetly get you in a bad situation... these cobras are good enough for me especially when 6 piston saleen brembos go for 3,000$ lol im content with the 750 i spent on parts and rented shop.

im not quite sure but i know they are way better built. if you ever taken them off and looked at em the gt brakes are complete sh*t. im pretty sure the cobras have bigger 11.5" rotors, im pretty sure you also need a braket for the rear. The GT and Cobra have the same rear brakes except for the rotors, the GT has solid 10.5" rotors and the Cobra has 11.65" vented rotors. The calipers and lines are the same. You do have to have new brackets (which require the removal of the axles to install) and braces and larger dust shields.
