i paid 275 for gear oil, and install.
But next time i wont pay a person to do it. I am going to do it.

You guys had a hell of a deal. I paid like $475 for my install but he backed his work up fantastically when I went back 6 months later saying something didn't seem right.
I'd say ballpark range around $300-$500 as well. Buy your own gear oil, friction modifier, and rear end rebuild kit to take less of a hit. Shops seem to enjoy giving prices for everything together, they make more probably. |

That's the rebuild kit, depending on your mileage it's a good idea. Buy Ford Racing Parts! Gear Oil: Also, you'll need 3 bottles of this or equivalent, not necessarily Royal Purple: Royal Purple Max Gear 75w90 Gear Oil Friction Modifer, go to your local dealer: Ford Racing Performance Parts [CM-19546-A1] |

i just did my 3.55's myself it took about a day and a half in my driveway it really wasnt that bad people overestimate how much of a challenge it will be and i got estimates for 170-200 for a shop to do it for me
