pi swap questions


ok so if i were to swap out the heads, intake and cams would i need tog et headers, midpipe and catback for a 99-04 since the heads are where the heads bolt up to?

Nope. I used my stock 98 manifolds. It wouldn't hurt though that's for sure.

+1 on the above. Your stock manifolds will bolt right up to the PI heads. Itd definetely be better to get the longtubes now and drop them in already on the heads and make it much easier to install them but if you are like me and didnt have the money then your stock manifolds will be fine

well i plan on buying all the stuff over the next couple of months and then plan on doing a giant swap over the winter.

I went with my 96 manifolds and they bolted up just fine.

It is alot easier to install the headers from the top though, if your doing the swap in the future i'd save up and do the headers at the same time.
