old grand marquis intake manifold?

I was scrumaging through a junk yard, looking at 4.6 cars, when I poped the hood on an older grand marquis, I then noticed something funny, it had a metal intake manifold, now I know people say the typhoon sucks an blah blah, but I want to know what the deal is with this intake, is it just a metal version of the npi, because it didn't look like it at all? Anyone know how well they flow?

look at the water cooling tube its under the manifold if it goes up to the right then its just like the pi intake af the water cooling tube is able to run down the valley of the block then its just a npi intake. the water cooling tube comes out of the back of the water pump wich is the first pulley right below the alternator. thats the only way i know how to tell

I have an alminim intake off of a crown vic that sucks. I assume its the same thing. They are designed porely. Very short runners, and very restrctive. I have pictures of it in the thread titled the beast part2 in the club house. No links because of posting on my iPod.
