there the slowest of the 4.6s but you can upgrade and make them have the same power of 99-04 relatively cheap

scavange around on ebay i got the cams and the manifold for 200.. pretty cheap HP in my book. from what i know the heads are least of the three as far as adding power. the intake and cams are pretty economical

i just did a quick search on ebay and u should be able to get the intake for under 200 and heads with cams maybe 500 or so. maybe less if you look around for a while. theres always a ton of them on ebay so just keep an eye out.

Well when you can get them for about half what they cost new and have them worked by a shop then it is well worth it...I mean I sold mine and they only had 40K on them...Well I sorta sold the whole motor but that is a different story...

Its just like why would you buy a used motor? To save money...

Alot of people are swapping the stock PI heads off their car for VT heads and such...Or people that are parting out a car after a total or something like that...

There are lots of reasons...
