1. I'm not sure what size TB we have stock, but putting on a bigger one on a stock engine won't really benefit it at all.
2. Get a JLT. They are the best overall, fenderwell that actually gets cold air, and they are much larger. 3. Obviously, everyone here will tell you to get 4:10's to wake your car up, but 3:73's are also popular. 3:55's will be decent if you have a highway rearend in it now. Get them professionally installed by a reputable shop. Hope that helps.

JLT cai, Accufab t/b and intake plenum. 70 or 75 mm t/b will work, some will say a 75mm will rob hp but I have yet to see that on any dyno test.

if you swap your gears, don'T forget to change your speedo gears too otherwise your speedometer will be inaccurate.
Steeda.com sell the speedo gear at a pretty good price. |

I have a question, my car had the BBK CAI on it allready when I bought it, would it be worth it to swap it out for a JLT CAI? or should I not even bother?

Yes, you will gain more with the JLT. I honestly dont think it will be more than 5 hp though, so you have to decide what 5 hp is worth to you. Just my .02

All cold air kits are the same! The JLT intake may be a hair better because of the large diameter and the better volumetric efficiency but the gains would be nominal. Pick the intake that fits your budget and looks the best to you.
Some will argue that the Composite material is better for not heat soaking the incoming air but the air isn't in the tube long enough for it to matter. I have a 75mm TB and I made 265rwhp with my set up with a stock 99 PI motor. Everyone that I have ever seen with my same mods only made 251-255. I do not think it robs any power at all. And on my S/C'd set up I say it helped more than harmed. |

Go for the JLT cold air intake or JLT ram air intake. As far as a throttle body, it really just depends on what your plans are for the car. If you're doing some modest modding, getting an Accufab 70mm with plenum is hands down the way to go. I wouldn't say a larger than 70mm throttle body would rob horsepower, but it won't offer you hardly any gains. As for your gears, yes absolutely take them to a reputable shop and have them professionally installed as 97GT4.6 said. Nothing wrong with 3.55's either; they still are a step up from stock gears, and you can't beat a free price tag haha. Good luck with the 'Stang.
And to HorsepoweR: Just keep the BBK CAI. As sxynerd said, they're all nearly the same. Your time and money could be used much better with other aspects of the car. +1 sxynerd! +1 97GT4.6!
