If you're drag racing I'd say go with Strange adjustables.
You just looking for something that will hold up better than stock? KYB is a step above stock and then you're looking at brands like Tokico or Bilstein. I wouldn't touch Bilstein unless you have money to burn, they're fantastic but also really pricey unless you're serious about suspension. With a 1.5 inch drop I'm not sure you're all that concerned with drag racing. I'd take a look at Tokico, but if you want to go with the Strange they're also very good and cheap as well. For anyone with more knowledge they might need to know what you need the shocks and struts for. There's a big difference between autocross, street, and drag. |

It depends soo highly on your driving it is hard to say. I would tell you that if you got the cash Bilsteins are as good as you can get. Unless you want adjustables, and then it depends on if your drag racing or autocrossing. If you don't do either, and just like the look, and like to womp on it every once in a while. KYB's are a decent shock, not much better than stock. but keep in mind that your stock ones are 10 years old.
so Recap... Cheap daily driver... KYB Autocross Non -Adjustable- Bilstein or koni yellows (amazing but expensive) Autocross Adjustable - Tokico D spec Drag Race Adjustable - Tokico Illuminas (best drag race shock) Drag Race non Adjustable - I don't do it so I don't know...

I am using Tokico Illuminas that were installed by Steeda. I have a stage 3 Steeda suspension and have only positive things to say about the struts.
