I have made that guy my only offer. He told me that the reason he needed $4000 for the car was because of what he spent on the Bumpers and side skirts (not on the car yet). I told the guy I'd take the car without the body kit for $2500. I'll Check out the motor see what's up with it. If it's no good I know where there's a built 351 with a Paxton Novi 2000 that'd be right at home in that thing for only $2800. New bumpers, a side skirt, new paint, get that top on there right- $13,000 Ford Mustang Cobra convertible!

So you're going to convert the car over to a pushrod motor? And, you're asking us if we think you should buy it??? Do you know what it takes to convert over from a 4.6 car to a pushrod? First we'll start off with a new K-member, engine, Full BCM wiring harness and engine wiring harness, New mechanical gauges or revert to a 94-95 not forgetting all the labor. The very fact that you asked us about this car in the first place tells me you don't know much about cars/mustangs so I say you should either go buy a brand new car or take car smart friend with you to look at other cars "WITH" warranties.

If that is your plans you better have deep pockets and a bible preacher for a mechanic other wise you're gonna get raped.

dude, just no. the only reason u buy a cobra is to get the 32v 4.6, not because u want to do a motor swap. u know what that cobra will be worth after the swap? about 4000 because it's not a fucking cobra anymore. tell the guy he's a moron for putting that body kit on it, and even more of a moron for thinking he can get 4 grand for it.

First of all thanks, everybody for your input on the situation. That's why I post shit on here. I know most of the people on here have done or know of people who have done projects that went bad... some worse than others.
I don't even like 'verts. I just saw the car was cheap and figured I could fix it up and have a nice car. I like the lines of a coupe that year model and the 'vert ruins it. Not to mention safety.

If that guy says I can take the car for $2,500 without the bodykits I will. Otherwise I'll just keep waiting. I'll have a Cobra at some point, one way or another! It doesn't necesarily need to be this one.

If I could fix it up nice enough and take care of that engine problem I could probably sell the thing for around $13,000. Then start looking for a coupe in good condition.
