Junkyard Search For PI Components


What do yall think about tryin to find PI heads, cams and intake manifold from a local pick and pull. I would rather take a look there before i trust some stranger on ebay. What do guys think......

its a good idea that way you get a look at the rest of the drive train aswell

instead of just picking and choosing, get the entire 4.6 with lower miles, and drop it in!

Pick n Pull might ahve something...DOnt forget crown vics have the PI as well...But on certain years...

But you might want to check TWR and some other places like that for guys parting their motors out...

I am stationed at langley AFB, VA myself...

What and where is the TWR......and do u kno what year the crown vics are that hav the PI set up

You have to make sure you pick the right heads also. Romeo or Windsor. Dont forget the intake and all the parts needed for the swap .Dipstick tube etc.

romeo or windsor doesn't matter. if you use a windsor head just be shure you buy the front cover studs. trust me i learned the hard way
romeo will be 11 bolt valve cover and windsor will be 13 bolt

Uh yeah. Like I said ,pick the right ones so he can re-use his covers.
