I have the MSD on my car and I have not had any problems. I am not sure if it has made any performance differance though, I bought the car with them on it

Dont waste the money in my opinion. We have had to take aftermarket coils off of every car that has come through our shop with them due to missfire issues. The stock ford ones are just fine.

My old MSD's worked pretty good for me when I was NA but tuned like crap the moment I started boosting it. IDK why... I took them off and put stock C packs back on and it screams....

I will be getting the SD packs in a few weeks.

Prime example right there. Why do it to yourself again. If it aint broke, dont fix it i say. There is no power to be had and the stockers work just fine

Good old NGK plugs and stock coils and i made close to 1000hp at the flywheel. As i have stated before, why spend the money if you dont have to?

Sounds like the stockers are best. I appreciater the posts 9sec, I am about to add some boost and was considering aftermarket cp's but it sounds like it's just a waste of time and money.

It's not a waist of money. Stocks are good yes but SD are just as good with a higher volt rating and are only a little more.

No problem. I just hate to see people WASTE money on these coils. We have a performance/tuning shop and we see this first hand on a regular basis. As i have said before in other posts on this subject, we have had guys come in to the shop with just about every brand you can think of and had to replace them with the stock units.

We have even had some of the non believers call us back after telling them not to run them and tell us how we were right and thier coils crapped out after a VERY short time.

I would not try steer you wrong and i have nothing to gain if you do or dont buy them. Im just trying to share info that i know from what i have seen on a regular on our dyno.

I have Weapon X coil packs, and I am blown, no problems with them. Time will tell though.

Everything I have ever heard said the stock are the way to go. And if you really need more, you get a Kenne Bell Boost-A-Spark like me. It totally made the top end feel better.
