ignition switch or what?

So i dunno if anyone else has ever experienced this but im really confused with this probem i'm having. Sometimes generally only when its 35 degrees out or less, my car refuses to start. now let me elaborate. When its cold out i will turn the key to crank it will either do nothing or ill hear it click or kinda half ass try to turn over but only really crank at most like a 1/2 second not long enough to start. sometimes it does eventually turn over other times im sittin their for 10mins. Now whats weird is virtually everytime i use the remote start feature when this happens it starts up immediately no problems oncesoever. i have had only one occasion where even the remote start function failed to work and the command wouldnt event initiate from the remote. that was weird. So does anyone have a clue why it might be doing this or what would go bad to cause such an odd thing to occur? thanks a lot.

I would think that if your remote start works, then the starter circuit itself is good.... Now, I could be wrong as I do not know how your remote start setup is wired.....

However, if the starter circuit itself is good, then there is probably wear n tear on the ignition switch and you can replace that and problem is fixed. They are not to expensive, so thats not a bad place to start..

ck the connector on the switch...found power wire on mine not locking in the connector, and so it wasnt fully sliding onto the ign switch prong, getting hot and sliding off occassionally. a real bitch when your driving down the road, and it shuts off and then wont re-start.
