There is not all that much to dig up. The block get machined to hand cylinder sleeves that allow a 3.70" piston to be used. Increasing the size of the cylinders adds the cubes and unshrouds the valves to allow the engine to breath better. I am not really sure what information other than than you are looking for.

So basically your resleving the block with oversized sleves? From what I saw there are companies that will do the work for you or sell you a short block, but I havent seen just the oversized sleves and pistons for sale, I'd like to have a local machine shop do the work, instead of sending a block halfway arond the country and back.

It has to be an aluminum block to get it sleeved, and Darton makes the sleeves

Thanks, I was planning on going with an alluminum block anyway, but that is the kind of information I am looking for, I'd like to know all the little odds and ends. Any known problems going with nitrous or boost on big bore motors, I would think the machining process would weaken certain things?

the machining is high as well. the boss block is a a big bore block straight from frpp. the process is supposed to actually make the block more reliable. the thing about running boost on one of them is the compression, well thats if you have a pi swap done.

here is a 4.6l based block from Ford that increases the displacement to 302 cubic inches using the stock rotating assembly....Ford Racing Performance Parts [M-6010-T50*] and ST Motorsports sells these block for almost half the price of Ford and ST Motorsports has built a few stroker based motors using this block and they were around 324-330 cubic inch modular stroker motors....contact this guy if you have any questions
