hey man you really need to give more info on how much you are wanting to spend. There is a huge amount to do if there is no price cap.

Fix everything that's wrong first.

Then tell us what you want to do with the car. DD? Street? Drag? Autocross? Roadrace? Rally? Drift?

If you want a cheap mod, the B&M electronic shift improver kits are ~$40 and do exactly what they say they will. I have one on my Bronco and love it. I can also dig up a link for a kit that will allow you to convert your automatic to a paddle-shift controlled manumatic.

Just depends on what you want to do with the car.

4.56s FTW but then you need 28 inch tall tires.

Normally I would disagree and say that you should always go with 4.10s on a mod motor... but that's only for manual tranny cars.

On an automatic, you're better off going a step higher geared, so 3.73s would probably be ideal for most driving.

Also, a note about that paddle shift setup: it's not all that much easier, and more expensive than converting from to a manual trans, so if you really want a manual, I'd suggest just swapping to a manual. However, there are certain advantages to the slushbox, and I think this would install with less teardown of the car. All things to keep in mind.
