What the boost mean on turbos?

i dont know much about cars, but i try to learn and one of the things i dont understand is the amount of boost a car has cause 17 lbs. doesnt seem like much but i hear its a lot and by the way im only 16

you buy boost in the form of bags.. if you want 17lbs. of boost then you buy a 17lb. boost bag.. it's a bag full of boost that actually weighs 17 pounds.. for superchargers, you just set the bag on top of your intake manifold.. for turbochargers, you pour the boost into the actual turbine

i'm not sure if my info is 100% correct, but that's what i've always heard.

Don't forget to add ice to the intercooler as well!!! Holy shit man, could you imagine what would happen if you forgot to add the ice!!!!!!!!!

and make sure you change the carburetor belt. If you don't its gonna throw a rod.
