Procharger
I need you honest opinions on this. Is it dumb to procharge my mustang with 120,000 miles on it? Right now the car is my DD. Thatl change tho. I would be doing the work myself. Since i have a knock in my heads i might be doing the pi swap. Thatl mean higher compression, so what does that mean for running this procharger? or would it be better to stay with npi heads, cuz i can get them for free. Has anyone else done this? This is the package i am looking at RPM Outlet.com - 1996 to 2004 FORD MUSTANG GT ATI Procharger Superchargers

Its up to you, i have 190k + on my car and it has a full pi swap and im looking to supercharge it soon if i can get the money for it. These engines do last for a long time but most people wouldnt boost it at 120k.

well im kinda thinkin, hey if the engine blows, then i just get a new motor and swap the procharger. I guess now im just more curious whether to do pi or a just put npi heads back on. Because i know there is a compression issue.

With the PI swap you will want a good tune and you really need to watch how much boost you run as you will be upping your compression.

Yea, and i dont know of anywhere around me with a dyno tune. SO i would be using a handheld. I think i am going to stick with the npi heads. unless pi heads will help that much more? Im just looking to get like 300 - 350hp. I want to go fi tho. Cuz i love the sound of it

If you run PI heads you have to run a lower boost level but if you run nPI then you can run more boost. It's up to you.

So basically it would be cheaper to stick with the NPI heads because i could just run higher boost and have close to the same hp. Like i said, right now im just lookin for like 350 hp |

I stuck with the none pi heads, but picked up some take-out cams from a pi sc saleen and a used pi intake. These two changes got me an extra 51 hp at the rear wheels with my set-up.

My rwtq is 337 and rwhp is 318. I am running an automatic so my losses are higher than with a stick so yours would likly be higher if you have the manual.
