Not getting gas to the engine or something

So I bought some MIL eliminators from american muscle and put them in my car, with the battery connected. Then once they were plugged in, i realized i had to disconnect the negative terminal on the battery to reset the computer in the car. so i left it off for a while while i reinstalled my front bumper and then plugged the negative terminal back on the battery and went to fire up the car. I push in the clutch turn the key and it fires and runs for about 7 seconds then i get out of the car to close the hood and it slowly starts to die then it dies. It seems to me that the fuel stopped getting to the engine and thats what caused it to crap out. Also i noticed now that my battery light turns on when i try and start the car, although my battery isnt terribly low. So all of that was with my MIL eliminators installed. Now, I took the mil eliminators out thinking it had something to do with it and my car will start after about an hour of waiting but it will only start for about 1 second, then die. And if i try it again it wont start at all.

I am most likely sure its the fuel pump because when my car was inspected last, the mechanic said the fuel pump was about to go soon and it was just pumping the minimum amount of fuel needed.

Can someone point me in the right direction here? What are your first thoughts?

no, i got no humming noise when i turn the key... but i found a deal on a pump so im gonna go get it. also it might sound stupid but the car has almost no gas in it, the gas gauge says empty, and with a crappy pump is it possible it just has not enough gas? ill try 2 gallons of premium today, and if it still dont work, ill put in a new fuel pump

means your fuel pump is pumping, means the Iteria swicth is good in back too...

Next to look is to see if you are getting pressure at the fuel rail by hitting the schrader valve(tire valve thing). And if so then you have a MAF sensor problem of a spark problem.

And put a few gallons of gas in it. That could be your problem
