New to PI

I just picked up a 1998 GT and i am completly new to the 4.6. I tried looking, but didnt find too much, what exactly is a PI swap? And what is considered a full PI swap? I want as much info as possible: parts, price, labor, gains, ect. Anything will help. Thanks in advance

a PI swap would cosist of the heads cams and intake manifold from a 1999-2004 GT. doing the swap, you would need all new gaskets and bolts.

usually a full swap installed will run you about $2000..

how does a full swap cost $2000?? i have a pi intake and pi cams that i dont think i spend 150 altogether on...heads would be another 400 tops...free install...200 for parts...and yeah...about 45-55 more horses

most shops will charge 1000-1200 to install... I've now done two swaps, but my car still has NPI heads on it...

So, i just need a set of heads from a 99-04 GT to cover heads? So, P&P those heads would net an even greater gain right?

only if u have aftermarket cam's will the gain be worth it.......

which is what im doing right now. it might be alittle bit till i find out how much power i gained from my p&p heads and comp cams but i will post it when it gets completed. going into the shop in about 5 days.

ya, that $2000 was including install...

you my friend are EXTREMELY lucky if you find someone to do that for free

that job is quite time consuming,

took AC a week to do mine both times..

i will def get a video of it up after it is completed. And one on the dyno once i get it tuned.

did u pay 2000 in parts including install ie heads, cams, labor?
