second set of LCA bushings toast...what now?

It’s a 98 GT 5 speed that I bought already equipped with Maximum Motorsports lower control arms. At about a year the right side poly bushing came apart so I replaced them. When I was talking to the guy at Maximum about ordering the new bushings he said "it was the right one wasn't it?" And told me the bushings would go again and suggested I go with their solid ended or "Extreme" control arms. Well he was right...the right side bushing is shot again after a year. Since I refuse to change my driving style Is my only way around this problem to get the LCA's with two solid ends?

+1 you can get spherical bushings that will go in its place. i had some trouble with a control arm doing the same, i ended up with billet bushings.

I didn’t even think about something like that...I did a couple of google searches and found a lot of Upper spherical replacement bushings (Steeda has some for about $100) but nothing specifically listed as a LCA replacements...are they interchangeable? If the upper bushings won’t work on lowers does anyone know of a source for some spherical lowers?

there are just lower spherical lowers, i cant remember who all offer them off the shelf. i will have to do a little looking to see if i can find them. the upper and lowers are different and will require different bushings/bushings.

I've googled for these alot now and i still can't find a source. If spherical replacement bushings to fit our lower control arms or my Maximum Motorsports LCA exist...please someone tell me where you got them.

Smitty there are also others that make LCA's with spherical bushings at both ends...if thats what your looking for. In my case, when i started this thread, i thought my only option was to replace my current LCA's with some of those control arms. Until a couple of posters suggested just getting replacement spherical bushings...my problem is finding those replacement sphericals.

Side note...when i bought my last set of bushings from Maximum Mtorsports they did offer me their upgrade deal...i could trade in their Heavy Duty LCA's for the Extreme Duty LCA's and get a discount. But since they were already on the car when i bought it and i wasn't the "original" purchaser i couldn't take advantage. I then asked if i could buy just the bushings from the "Extreme Duty" LCA's...He said something like...they were an integral part of the control arm so no i couldn't.
