Cracked cowl vent cover


yeah, i was trying to get the hood hinges off and just lifted the cowl vent cover a little bit and it cracked and broke. and now i find out its fuckin 180 dollars to replace from ford

this is what i broke today: 94-98 COWL VENT COVER MUSTANG

does anyone have any ideas for a replacement thats cheap? junkyard maybe?

Mine was cracked as well, I think from a combination of sun and old age. I tried to repair and paint it to match the car but ended up just throwing it out along with tearing out the windshield wiper assembly. I'm selling the windshield wiper stuff if anyone is interested. I don't plan on replacing the cowl vent cover.

Did the Same thing, and went to ford and they told me that price and i laffed at the guy .180 for a peice of plastic i said.
then i went up to the local junk yard and found one and got it for $12.00

I've called around two junkyards around here and neither of them had any Mustangs with much parts left...

yeah man, its impossible to find a junkyard around on the north eastside of detroit with any mustang parts

Hmm... did you check the downriver area? I grew up in Trenton and know there are a couple of junkyards downriver.

i went back but the other two car's were no good the other was good and one was broke.i could have just sent it to you.There were 3 94-98 body stangs in the yard near me in orlando but they barley made a week.

I was mad the lady told me 60 bucks for a flowmaster cat back i went home to get the tools i needed and came back and it was gone.
